When you register for the AutoHDR Image Grouping Challenge, we collect:

  • Account information: first name, last name, email address, phone number
  • Profile information: LinkedIn or X profile URL (optional), job-seeking status, years of experience, location, visa status
  • Submission data: Docker image names, submission timestamps, scores, and container logs
  • Usage data: standard server logs (IP address, browser type, access times)

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Operate and administer the Challenge
  • Verify your eligibility (US residency and job-seeking status)
  • Display your name and score on the public leaderboard
  • Contact you about prizes, results, and Challenge updates
  • Evaluate candidates for employment opportunities at AutoHDR, Inc.
  • Prevent fraud and enforce our Terms of Service

3. Recruiting & Employment

This Challenge serves as both a competition and a recruiting tool. By registering, you acknowledge that your profile information and competition performance may be reviewed by AutoHDR's hiring team. Top performers may be contacted about job opportunities. You are under no obligation to accept any interview or offer.

4. Information Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information with:

  • Service providers: Clerk (phone verification), AWS (infrastructure), Codabench (competition platform)
  • Public leaderboard: your first name, last initial, and score are displayed publicly
  • Legal requirements: when required by law, regulation, or legal process

5. Data Retention

We retain your registration and submission data for 12 months after the Challenge ends. Leaderboard results may be retained indefinitely as a public record of the competition. You may request deletion of your personal data at any time by contacting us.

6. Data Security

We use industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections (TLS), access controls, and secure cloud infrastructure. However, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate data
  • Request deletion of your data
  • Withdraw from the Challenge at any time

8. California Residents

If you are a California resident, you have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), including the right to know what personal information we collect and to request its deletion. We do not sell personal information as defined by the CCPA.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated “Last updated” date. Continued use of the Challenge after changes constitutes acceptance.
